RAMBAN, Mar 23: Four persons of a family were injured when the Alto car they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Shahbanbas on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, today morning.
As per police sources, Alto car bearing registration number JK22B-2499 rolled down into deep gorge near Shahbanbas on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, resulting into injuries to four persons of a family.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the injured persons were shifted to SDH Banihal and later referred to Bone and Joint Hospital Barzulla Srinagar for advanced treatment.
The injured were identified as Ali Mohammad, son of Ghulam Rasool, his wife Zubaida Begum, son Sohail Ahmed and daughter Nargis, all residents of District Shopian.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started.
