41 cases of Govt orders violation registered across Jammu Province

JAMMU, Mar 24: Fourty one cases of violation of Government orders which were issued regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic have been registered across Jammu Province. However, home delivery of essential items to the door steps of the customer is also gaining pace.
In Jammu, 6 FIRs have been registered against the persons for violating District Magistrate (DM) Jammu order, SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil said. However, Jammu and Kashmir Police in RS Pura under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SP Headquarters Adil Hamid has started home delivery of essential items.
In Rajouri, drivers of two tippers have been booked in Nowshera, owner of Sana Institute of Education Rekiban Darhal has been booked by Darhal Police Station and three shopkeepers running their business establishments in Siot market have been booked by Dharamsal Police Station, said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajouri Chandan Kohli.
He added that all the accused were found violating restriction orders and were running their vehicles on roads or had open their institutions/business establishments despite after restrictions imposed by the District Magistrate Rajouri. He also added that the people of the district extended their cooperation to the JKP. He also urged the people to follow the directions issued by the Government regarding coronavirus epidemic.
In Ramban, 9 cases were registered today for violating DM Ramban order including 3 each in Batote, Chanderkote and Banihal. 15 persons have been arrested and 7 vehicles were seized by Batote, Chanderkote and Banihal Police.
In Doda, 7 cases have been registered by Doda, Thathri and Bhaderwah Police Station, said SSP Doda Mumtaz Ahmed. He added that 5 vehicles were seized and 7 persons have been arrested.
In Poonch, a total of 7 FIRs have been registered, 18 vehicles have been seized and 18 persons were taken into custody by Poonch and Surankote Police, said SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral.
In Samba, Tehsil Adminstration Bari Brahmana led by Tehsildar Bari Brahmana, SDPO Bari Brahmana and SHO Bari Brahmana Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia found a plastic factory operational and sealed it for violating DM Samba order. A case under FIR Number 60/2020 under section 188 IPC has been registered in this context at Police Station Bari Brahmana.
In Udhampur, five FIRs under section 188 IPC have been registered. A shop has been sealed, 9 persons have been arrested and 3 vehicles were seized by Udhampur Police, while a van has been seized and his driver was arrested by Ramnagar Police.
In Reasi, four vehicles were seized which were plying without documents and violated the DM Reasi order, Additional SP Reasi Surjit Kumar Bhagat said, adding that a case under Section 188 IPC has been registered at Mahore Police Station.
