JAMMU, Apr 2: Launching a tirade against the NC-Congress Coalition Government in the State, Prof Bhim Singh, Chief Patron, National Panthers Party (NPP) today said the situation has turned worse in J&K, as the most of the State Ministers and bureaucrats are involved in corruption and scams and have been surviving on the High Court orders.
He warned the Government that NPP MLAs shall themselves block the National Highway if the files concerning Jammu province would be allowed to move with the Darbar. Singh also demanded the Government to allow the functioning of secretariats all the year both at Srinagar and Jammu.
Addressing a press conference, NPP chief patron announced that Talwara migrants under the leadership of Anita Thakur, general secretary, JKNPP and incharge Jammu migrants, will stage a dharna on April 9 in front of the High Court, Jammu to present a memorandum to Chief Justice of J&K seeking urgent hearing of contempt case of Jammu migrants against Union of India and the State Government, which despite the Supreme Court order failed to provide relief to the Jammu migrants at par with Kashmiri migrants.
“It is highly painful that those who voluntarily went to Pakistan and got armed training to sabotage India, have been permitted by the Omar Government to return to the State via Nepal violating the law of the Land, but refugees of 1947, 1965, 1971 and 1999 have been denied even citizenship right”, Prof Bhim Singh said.
He said that Bedi Commission report, which was not presented before the Assembly, was tabled in the House by NPP MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia for discussion but the speaker turned down his request. The ruling parties have betrayed the Panchayats , as the issue regarding the security of Panchs and Sarpanchs and 73rd and 74th Amendment, were not discussed in the ongoing Budget session, which is near to closing.
