RAJOURI, Apr 10: Kalakote police today registered a rape case after an unmarried girl belonging to a nomadic family gave birth to a 7-month-baby and died thereafter.
According to the reports, an unmarried girl of age about of 19-20 years of a remote village in Kalakote in an emergency condition (with 7-months baby in her womb) was admitted yesterday in SMGS Hospital, Jammu. The baby was born dead yesterday and the girl, who was in serious condition, also passed away today.
The dead bodies of both the baby and mother were today shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu while a rape case in this connection was registered at police station Kalakote and further investigation started.
