Distribution of ration continues in UT of J&K

JAMMU, Apr 14: Distribution of ration continued in various parts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Member Parliament Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas distributed ration to the deserving locals at Paloura area of Jammu. The locals were identified after verification from the concerned volunteers and BJP leaders namely Bahadur Singh Manhas and Joginder Singh Chib who had already briefed the beneficiaries to maintain proper social distancing, compulsory mask while receiving the ration.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta distributed the grocery items to the needy persons in Gandhi Nagar Constituency. Gupta was accompanied by Ashok Koul, Vinay Gupta, Ankush Gupta, Neeraj Puri and other prominent persons of the Gandhi Nagar.
Chander Parkash Ganga Former Minister and Ex-MLA Vijaypur distributed essential commodities among 60 needy families at Village Reore Panchayat Meen Sarkar. Among others present were Jai Ram Sharma State Executive Member BJP, Atresh Dutta Block President Bari Brahmana and others.
In an attempt to extend a helping hand to needy people at this critical juncture, working journalists of Jammu today came forward and distributed cooked food among poor people and labourers. The journalists, who contributed from their own pockets, arranged the meals for hundreds of needy people in Bus Stand, Nawabad and Jewel area of Jammu city. They cooked the food at one place and handed it over to SHOs of Bus Stand and Nowabad police stations for distribution among the needy and starving labourers in these areas.
RSS Swayam Sevaks distributed relief material among the needy families in various areas of Talab Tillo, Paloura, Bohri, Roop Nagar, Bantalab, Janipur, Beli Charana and Raipur Satwari.
Dry ration was distributed by District Police Reasi at Baradari, Seela, Aghar Ballian and Mari among slum dwellers, migrant labourers and others in need.
Vichar Kranti Manch International and Confederation of Social, Voluntary and Charitable Organisations distributes ration to the needy and poor 125 families of Beli Charana Jammu. Vichar Kranti Manch International helped the needy by arranging distribution of ration through ID Soni, Chief Advisor, SK Jain President, Chander Mohan Sharma General Secretary, Rattan Lal Mahajan Advisor, Abhinandan Jain Financial Advisor and Confederation was represented KS Samyal President, Dr ML Sharma General Secretary, Sanjeev Parihar Treasurer and Rahul Kumar Social Worker.
‘The-Sara’ team led by its Director Dr Raminder Jit Singh distributed essential food items among 30 families of Kabir Nagar Poonch House Talab Tillo Jammu.
Station House Officer (SHO) Ramgarh Inspector Chaman Gorkha along with his team distributed the dry ration among the 35 needy families at Panchi Market.
Bhaderwah Police distributed 1500 kilograms ration among 70 families under the supervision of ASP Bhaderwah Raj Singh Goria and SDPO Aadil Rishu at villages Shapan, Bhehoda and Noori Hanga.
Prabhat Singh along with his team distributed the essential commodities among the poor and needy persons in Ward Number 39 at Shanti Nagar Toph Sherkhania Jammu. Dharam Pal Sudan, Satpal Mangotra, Rajat Sudan, Jai Singh Chib, Kuldeep Sharma and Jatinder Singh were among others present on the occasion.
Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu distributed ration items and masks to the needy people of 50 families from all religions residing in Christian Colony and its adjoining areas at St Peter’s Catholic Church Jammu under the supervision of Fr Kuriakose President Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu in the presence of Fr Xavier Pastor Robin, Pastor Vinod and Sr Zeena.
