JAMMU, Apr 4: The NC MLA Bimla Luthra today demanded allotment of new Gypsies to the MLAs.
Raising the issue in the Assembly while the Calling Attention notices of various MLAs were taken up by the House, she said her gypsy is old and its canvas is totally torn.
The Speaker Mubarak Gul asked the Government to make a statement and issued directives that members be provided new vehicles. He urged the Minister that the Government should examine all the vehicles of the members and allot new vehicles to those who have old ones.
Later Minister of State for Home and Transport, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo informed the House that we will see to it. He said all MLAs were allotted new vehicle however there are few MLAs who were not given and they will too be allotted the new vehicles soon.
Earlier terming it a serious issue Aijaz Jan said that in Jammu ministers have five vehicles and MLAs don’t get even fuel.
