JAMMU, Apr 30: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) flayed the new reservation policy and demanded 27 per cent reservation for backward classes.
In a handout Prof Kali Dass, General Secretary of the Union stated that J&K LG had assured due share to the backward classes after a deputation of AIBCU met him. “But everything went contrary to that,” he claimed adding that besides injustice in due quota share only 3 per cent instead of 27 per cent reservation is being given to backward classes.
Dass also said that the recently constituted Backward Classes Commission with a Chairman and two members is having none from Other Backward Classes (OBC).
He demanded that the Commission must have two members from OBC communities with a chairman from OBC too.
