Samba police arrests 4 cattle thieves

SAMBA, May 1: District Police Samba arrested four persons for their involvement in two incidents of cattle thefts.
Police said yesterday written complaints were received at PP Rakh Amb Talli which were made by two persons namely Sukhdev S/o Bahadur Chand and Parveen Kumar S/o Shiv Ram both residents of Sinki, Samba stating therein that on intervening night 29/30.04.2020 some unknown miscreants had stolen three cattle from their house.
Acting on the complaint, a case FIR No. 105/2020 U/S 379 IPC was registered at PS Samba and investigation started. During course of investigation three accused persons were arrested who have been identified as Alam Din, S/o Nazir Ahmed, Khadam Hussain S/o Mureed Baksh both residents of Manor Gopalla, Samba and Zakir Hussain S/o Ali Hussain of Chak Manga Gujjran, Samba and three stolen cattle have also been recovered from nursery area near Supwal.
The accused Alam Din S/o Nazir Ahmed & Zakir Hussain S/o Ali Hussain are habitual thieves and burglars and a number of cases have already been registered against them.
In another similar incident, on April 27 a written complaint was registered at PP Supwal by one Narinder Singh, S/o Late Sawal Singh of Bara, Vijaypur stating therein that his cattle went missing from his field. Acting on the complaint, a case FIR No. 104/2020 U/S 379 IPC was registered and investigation started. During course of investigation suspect Mahesh Kumar, S/o Ratti Ram, R/o MP A/P Barian was arrested from Barian, Vijaypur and during sustained interrogation, stolen cattle was also recovered on his disclosure from the house of Fullu S/o Bagh Ali and Bachu S/o Noor Alam both residents of Rakh Barotia, Vijaypur. However they fled from the spot and efforts are being made out to nab both of them, police said.
