JAMMU, May 5: Western Army Commander Lt Gen RP Singh paid a visit to the Yol Cantonment and Palampur military stations today and reviewed the operational readiness and the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
Lt Gen RP Singh also interacted with civilian officials and felicitated Deputy Commissioner Kangra Rajesh Kumar Prajapati for his commendable efforts in containing and instituting adequate measures to contain the spread of the Corona virus.
GOC of Rising Star Corps Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi briefed him regarding the current situation, operational preparedness and efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thereafter, Army Commander visited Palampur Military Station and interacted with the doctors and staff of the dedicated COVID hospital and COVID Care Center. He lauded the Corona warriors for their relentless efforts in the fight against the pandemic and rendering selfless service to the nation.
