SAMBA, May 7: Samba police has arrested one person and recovered 100 grams of heroin from his possession during the Nakka checking at Mansar Morh near here, today.
According to the report, this morning at around 9 am, Samba police received an information regarding heroin and a team of Police Station Samba headed by Inspector Suraj Pathania SHO of the Police Station laid Nakka at Mansar Morh. During the Nakka checking police party intercepted a truck bearing Registration Number, PB13AR- 6054, which was moving towards Punjab from Srinagar.
During checking of the vehicle, police party recovered 100 grams of heroin from the truck. Police also arrested truck driver on spot and seized the truck.
The accused has been identified as Jameel Ahmed, son of Abdul Majeed resident of Malerkotla Punjab.
In this regard a case FIR No 113/20 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Samba against the driver.
