SAMBA, Apr 7: Sungali Mandi, Samba registered a huge victory of 48 runs against Raj Samba in the inaugural tie of the Thalore Mandi Premier League Cricket Tournament, being organized by Youth Committee, Thalore Mandi, Samba here today.
Electing to bat first, Sungali Mandi set a target of 100 runs for all out in allotted 16 overs in front of its opponent team.
In the second inning, Raj Samba failed to chase the target and bundled out at paltry score of 52 runs for all out in 12 overs.
Sonu of Sungali Mandi was declared as man of the match for scoring 24 runs.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by Sanjeev Sharma, secretary, Bhargava Educational Trust, in presence of locals and sports lovers.
