NPP demands compensation for labourers, others

JAMMU, May 13: National Panthers Party (NPP) has demanded that poor workers, agriculturists, unemployed youths, small traders and BPL families should be compensated in the newly announced financial package of Government of India.
Addressing a press conference here today Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman NPP said a monthly compensation of Rs. 5000 should be given to labourers for the next six months in view of unprecedented situation created due to the Corona pandemic.
He also sought compensation for agriculture, floriculture, sericulture sectors and vegetable growers whose crops could not reach market due to the ongoing restrictions causing immense losses to them.
The NPP leader also demanded appropriate package for unemployed as well as self employed youth who faced worst time due to loss of all kinds of livelihood.
Harsh Dev called for waiving off loans taken by unemployed, self employed and other semi-employed people besides small traders and agriculturists.
He further demanded tax concessions for small traders and marginal entrepreneurs and free ration to all the BPL and APL families for the next six months.
Singh further demanded clearance of all past liabilities under MGNREGA.
He also demanded immediate release of wages of daily rated workers of various Government departments.
The Panthers Party leader also demanded re-instatement of all terminated employees of Health and Information Department disengaged in the last two months.
