Blacktopping of Assar-Thathri road going on in full swing

DODA, May 19: The blacktopping of the Assar-Thathri road stretch on the Batote-Doda-Kishtwar highway by National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) authorities is going on in full swing.
The blacktopping was started by the executing agency on the directions of District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode.
It has been given out by the officials of the NHIDCL that the blacktopping has been started in the district from Assar towards Khaleni and Thathri on war footing, so that it can be ensured that there shall be hassle free plying of vehicles on the respective stretch.
Meanwhile the DDC Doda also inspected the ongoing blacktopping work on the respective road today and directed the executing agency to compete the work under the stipulated time frame and as per the designated protocol of the NH road.
DDC also directed to ensure all the safety measures being taken into account without any fail.
He also informed that after completion of the blacktopping work the travel time will reduce in a comprehensive manner.
The work is being done under the close supervision of ED NHIDCL, GM NHIDCL besides by the field engineers of NHIDCL.
