JAMMU, May 19: Indian Chamber of Commerce for Affirmative Action (ICCAA) led a deputation of footwear makers and representative of Shoe Manufacturing Association to meet Joint Director Industries.
ICCAA leader, R.K Kalsotra led the deputation and asked the Joint Director Industries that footwear manufacturing has been disrupted after developments like abrogation of Article 370 and COVID-19 pandemic.
He demanded a special package for Footwear Manufacturing Units which may also include help to individual makers of footwear so that they may sustain themselves and their employees.
Joint Director Industry, Trishla Kundal assured the deputation to apprise higher authorities about the demand.
Ajay Jandiyal, Babby Kalsi, Tilak Raj, Jagdish Anand, Sanjeev Kapoor and others were also present in the deputation.
