SAMBA, May 23: After outbreak of the Corona epidemic, the Central Government as well as health authorities are continuously making appeals to the people to maintain social distancing at every place, for their safety but these norms are openly being violated in the District Hospital Samba under the very nose of hospital authorities and doctors.
This morning a large number of females gathered outside the Gynecology room of District Hospital Samba for their check up, but the females who gathered there in long queue openly violated the norms of social distancing as no one from the hospital staff including the doctors stopped them.
They remained standing in long and close queue. Although the Health Department is continuously appealing to the people to follow the guidelines and advisories issued from time to time and maintain social distancing while in market, hospital or any public place but it seems that people hardly bother about the same.
On the one hand the Corona cases are increasing day by day in Samba district, and on the other hand the people don’t take precautionary measures, the social distancing is one among them for their safety which is openly being violated in the premises of District Hospital Samba by the people who are coming there for medical checkup. “If the system remains same then in coming days it will be a major threat to the people of Samba”, said a local resident who had come for his check up in the hospital today.
He further said that many people of Samba and its adjoining villages are coming in District Hospital Samba for their health check up but in the violation of the norms of social distancing, these people are at risk of falling a prey to the virus.
The people appealed to Deputy Commissioner, Samba and Chief Medical Officer, Samba to look into the matter and issue the instructions to hospital staff to ensure social distancing in the hospital.
