REASI, May 24: Police today smashed a still in Dhansal areas of Arnas and seized illicit liquor as well as the utensils being used for preparation of hooch.
Acting on an information that two person namely Shaptan Singh son of Soba Ram of Khirb and Vijay Singh son of Suram Singh of Khirb, Judda-B, Tehsil Arnas, were manufacturing and selling illicit liquor in their home at Khirb, a Police Party from Police Station Arnas, led by SI Sunil Singh, conducted a raid.
Even as the accused managed to flee, Police recovered 75 liters of lahan, which was destroyed on spot. Four liters of hooch, still apparatus, pipes etc were seized.
In this regard, a case FIR number 40/2020, under Section 48(A)(E), 50 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Arnas.
