JAMMU, June 4: Three cops were injured after a police team was attacked by two drug peddlers and their family members in Palpad area of Ragoora, here.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu conducted raid in Palpad area of Ragoora to arrest the drug peddlers.
On seeing cops, the drug peddlers along with their family members attacked the police team with stones and escaped from the spot.
In the incident, three cops were injured and were given first aid.
However, a case under FIR Number 49/2020 under relevant sections has been registered against Ali, son of Akbar, Kalu, son of Manzoor, both residents of Palpad Ragoora and several others including their family members.
It is pertinent to mention here that Ali and Kalu were already involved in cases registered with Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and are history sheeters.
