KATHUA, June 5: Joint Director School Education, holding additional charge of CEO Kathua, HR Pakhru alongwith Principal HSS Kathua distributed Health Cards under Centrally Sponsored Scheme Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) received through State Project Director Samagra Shiksha and implemented through Director, School Education Jammu.
The Health Cards were distributed among the officials of Zonal Offices by Joint Director for transmitting it to schools to around 72,000 students of class 1st to 12th of Govt Schools of district Kathua. Instructions were conveyed to concerned officials to ensure that these cards reached to every institution of school for subsequent medical check up of the students.
“Under this scheme general health check up of every student shall be held and record will b maintained through health cards in the schools. It will help those requiring medical care through government and directly improve their health,” Pakhru maintained.
It is pertinent to mention here that the scheme has been launched with the objective ‘Healthy mind resides in healthy body’.
All the Zonal Education Officers (ZEOS) were put under strict instructions to handover all these health cards to schools of their respective zones and furnish the distribution certificate to the office of CEO Kathua for its onward transmission to SPD Samagra Shiksha and Director School Education Jammu.
Meanwhile, World Environment Day was also celebrated by Principal and staff of HSS Kathua in its premises.
Joint Director School Education along with Principal Sanjeev Vaid and staff of higher secondary school planted the fruit plants on the occasion.
Pledge was also taken by the participants to safeguard the biodiversity in order to save the environment.
