Srinagar, June 5: The J&K Bank job aspirants today demanded age relaxation in the posts recently advertised by the bank.
They said that the age limit in the job notification published in 2018 was kept 35 years, but now, it has been reduced to 32 years.
“As per the criteria, there are scores of people who will not be able to apply for the post because they have over-aged if the age limit is kept into consideration,” Fayaz Ahmad, a job aspirant told Excelsior.
He said that the Bank administration should keep the age criteria as it was earlier in 2018 so that almost everybody is able to apply for the post.
Another job aspirant Suhail Ahmad from Budgam said that he was working outside J&K, but came back due to pandemic. “I could not apply in 2018 because, I was not here now, I wanted to apply, but I don’t fall under the criteria”.
The aspirants have appealed to the bank administration to look into the matter and get their demand resolved. “It will help many and should be done as there is a lot of unemployment,” the aspirants demanded.
