JAMMU, June 5: Adhering social distancing and hygiene measures, Gandhi Global Family (GGF) in collaboration with Indian Systems of Medicines (ISM) today organised a medical cum awareness camp at Bhagwati Nagar and distributed immunity boosting medicines among the local.
During the camp, ISM department distributed free medicines among migrant labourers of UP, Chhattisgarh and Bihar. 260 persons mostly children and senior citizens were examined by an expert team of doctors deputed by ADMO Jammu, Dr Suresh Sharma. Earlier a public awareness on COVID-19 and its preventive measures was conducted by doctors.
Director ISM, Dr Mohan Singh expressed that the Directorate with the help of its dedicated staff was ensuring the distribution of herbal medicines for preventive health measures and boosting immunity during COVID-19 pandemic. He further said that serving humanity was a paramount duty of every healthcare professional and ISM Medical staff will leave no person behind.
GGF president, Dr SP Varma expressed his gratitude towards ISM AYUSH for the collaboration and appreciated the work of GGF volunteers in coordinating with the local community and organising the COVID19 Medical camps.
Others who were present in the camp including Dr Sukhpreet Kaur, Dr Garima Sharma, Dr Shefali Sharma, Nishad Khajuria and Kashish Sharma, Jaswinder Singh Kuku, Er SK Vaid, Parshotam Mehra, Dr Vishal Pratap Singh and Ankush Varma.
