JAMMU, June 7: All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum, in a teleconferencing held today under the chairmanship of its president Deepak Sharma, demanded immediate repatriation of all J&K Government Education employees from Ladakh region.
Deepak Sharma said that a large number of lecturers and other education department employees from UT of J&K are serving in Ladakh region and have not been transferred back to their respective home districts even after completion of stipulated period of one year in hard areas.
He further said that even option was sought from the J&K Government employees to choose between the two UTs of J&K and Ladakh on bifurcation of J&K state but no exercise has been done in this regard to give a sigh of relief to the employees.
The Forum demanded immediate repatriation of all J&K Government education employees including those recruited under SRO -202 to their home districts in J&K UT as SRO 202 remains irrelevant and inapplicable in this case as Ladakh is no more a part of J&K. “Hence, J&K Government employees deputed there should not be made to languish in harsh weather conditions,” it asserted.
Sharma hoped that Administrative committee framed to resolve issues and grievances of 10+2 cadre will soon submit its report and practical shape will be given to Running Grade/Time Bound Promotion and Induction Quota into KAS in favour of Plus Two Lecturers under the leadership of Principal Secretary Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon.
He also expressed hope that regularization orders of all incharge incumbents/retirees will also be issued at the earliest and placement of lectures as senior lecturers shall be expedited and other demands including non vacational status to Principals/Head of schools, provision of charge allowance in all promotions/placements, restoration of 40% college quota, revocation of SRO -202, provision of earned leave to teaching community and regularisation of physical education lecturers and removal of their pay anomaly will also be acceded to on priority.
