JAMMU, June 9: Keeping in view the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) mode of examination declared by University of Jammu for college students, Govt Degree College, Akhnoor and Reasi today organised online inter-collegiate quiz competitions.
GDC Akhnoor today organised online “Inter-collegiate Mathematics Quiz Competition” in which 154 students from 19 different institutions across the UT participated.
Students, who got 60 percent marks or more in the competition, were awarded e-certificate after the completion of event.
Rama Pawar of GDC Akhnoor, Sameeksha Gupta of GGM Science College, Alisha Gupta of GDC Kathua (Boys) and Balgeet Singh of GDC Akhnoor secured 100 percent marks and secured first position, whereas Ritika Sharma of GDC Kathua (Boys), Anchana Jamwal of GDC Reasi, Aru Gupta of GDC Kathua, Kimi Sharma of GDC Kathua, Sukhmeet Singh of MAM College, Rahul Sharma and Rajat Sharma of GDC Akhnoor secured 98 percent marks and clinched 2nd position and 3rd position was claimed by Samritti Devi of GDC Reasi by securing 94 percent marks.
The quiz was conducted by Dr Pawan Kumar, Head of Department of Mathematics under the overall supervision of Dr Namarta, Principal GDC Akhnoor.
GDC Ramnagar conducted online “Inter-collegiate Quiz Competition” for 6th semester students of Botany wherein 250 students from the various colleges of Jammu division participated.
Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal of the College applauded Prof Sushil Kumar (convener), Prof Ram Krishan (organizing secretary) and Prof Swarn Singh (coordinator) from the Department of Botany for organizing the competition.
He said that such mode of competition will help the students for their preparation in the final examination. At the end of quiz competition, the e-certificates were also distributed to the participating students who secured more than 60% marks.
