KATHUA, June 10: District Administration today decided to allow sports activities in Stadia (Urban Areas) with due observance of guidelines for protection against COVID-19 and without the presence of spectators.
As per the order issued in continuation of the guidelines/instructions on lockdown measures in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir of 2020 dated 07-06-2020, no passes are needed for sports activities.
However, maintenance of social distancing; use of protective face covers/masks; repeated washing of hands with soap and water themselves and by workers are mandatory, while spitting in the public place is strictly prohibited.
“Any violation of above mentioned guidelines shall invite penal action under Disaster Management Act, 2005, Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 and other rules in vogue,” the order stated.
