JAMMU, June 14: Various Government Degree Colleges (GDCs) organized online quiz and poster making competitions.
NSS and Red Cross Unit of Government Degree College, Kalakote organized online poster making competition under the supervision of Principal of the College Prof (Dr) Romesh Kumar Gupta.
The themes of the competition were “Safe blood for all and importance of sanitization in COVID-19”. Principal also distributed E-certificate to all the participants. Baljeet, student of GDC Kalakote, secured the first position in this competition, while Ashu Devi and Asif Karim bagged the second and third positions respectively. Vijay Attri, Ex Assistant Dean Cultural Affairs, University of Jammu was the judge of the competition.
The competition was organized by Prof Sachin Kumar Bhagat, NSS and Red Cross Programme Officer of the college. To make this competition successful, the efforts were made by Prof. Anayat Ullah Khan, Prof. Shivani Thakur, PTI Dinesh Sharma and Manoj Kumar Sharma.
Department of Environm-ental Sciences, Government Degree College, Bhaderwah organized online national Level contest. The contest was organized by Prof Anuradha Sharma, HOD Department of Environmental Sciences under the supervision of Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, Principal GDC Bhaderwah.
The contest was held in two categories viz Video Blogging and Painting/ Poster Making/ Sketching. In Video Blogging, 1st prize was bagged by Zenab Batool of University of Jammu, second prize by clinched by Lakshmi Kalgotra of Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur and 3rd prize winner was Jatin Singh Chauhan of GDC Bhaderwah. In the painting/ poster making/ sketching contest, first, second and third prizes were bagged by Nitten Kumar of GDC Bhaderwah, Taniya Mahajan of Government College of Education, Canal Road Jammu and Mayank Jat of Mahakoshal College, Jabalpur, respectively.
In addition to it, all participants were issued with a certificate of participation and all winners were given e-certificates and cash prizes also.
Department of Hindi, Government Degree College Sunderbani organized inter college quiz competition for the students of BA Semester 6th (CBCS). A large number of students from different colleges participated in the quiz.
The entire programme was coordinated by Prof Davinder Kumar, HoD Hindi Department and was organized by Prof Amit Kumar and Prof Sandeep Kumar.
The quiz was conducted under the supervision of Prof (Dr) Vandana Gupta, Principal of the College.
22 students were provided with e-certificates of participation who got 60 per cent and above marks.
