JAMMU, June 25: Colonel SS Pathania, president, Sainik Samaj Party (SSP), J&K UT has expressed his concern and anguish over non-inclusion of Armed Forces (AF) officers in the latest list of Public Service Commission (PSC) members.
“Armed Forces officers are highly competent, comprehensively trained with vast exposure, unscrupulously honest, possessing unblemished integrity and are firm believers of dispension of justice and fair play,” Pathania said, adding they excel in the art of application of practical requirements of particular appointments to related tasks.
He said that the Chairman and members of the PSC have an onerous responsibility of selection of most suitable candidate for various jobs and as such should be free of any bias, prejudice and influence while performing their duties.
“Considering all these aspects, one can say with a great degree of assurance, that Armed Forces officers are most suited for this job,” Pathania said and requested the Lt Governor to give due consideration to this important aspect and allocate suitable representation to Armed Forces officers.
