REASI, June 27: Katra police today arrested a drug peddler with intoxicants.
“During patrolling duty, a police party of police station Katra when reached at Ambika Chowk, stopped one scooter bearing registration number JK20-3251 which was on its way from Railway Station to Ambika Chowk,” a police official said.
He said that during checking, police recovered 570 capsules of Tramadol containing 50 mg and 2080 tablets of Elizolam 0.5 mg from the scooter of the accused namely Kartar Singh son of late Basant Singh, resident of Aghar Jitto (Tehsil Katra).
As the accused failed to given satisfactory reply about recovered banned drugs, he was booked by the police under Sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act under FIR Number 101/ 2020 and further investigation started.
