Two pharmacists booked for selling banned capsules, shops sealed

JAMMU, July 5: RS Pura Police booked two pharmacists for selling banned capsules and also sealed their shops.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from RS Pura Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a man, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 270 intoxicant capsules from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Raj Mal of Sidhar Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu.
When put to sustained questioning and on his disclosure, 598 intoxicant capsules were also recovered from Baldev Raj, son of Mela Ram from his shop Mela Medicate RS Pura.
A special squad of RS Pura Police Station led by SHO Inspector Jai Pal Sharma along with Drug Control Department searched the Mela Medicate and Rakesh Medicos Phinder. Both the shops were sealed and police is also looking for cancellation of licences of both the shops.
Subsequently an FIR Number 130/2020 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
Whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
