SRINAGAR, July 6: Authorities today suspended three Government teachers after they were accused of sexually assaulting a local girl in Chacmulla area of Damhal Hanji Pora in Kulgam district.
In this regard, the suspension order was issued by Zonal Education Damhal Hanji Pora Kulgam pending inquiry.
“On the basis of written complaint submitted by inhabitants of village Chachmulla regarding sexual harassment of a local girl, the teachers are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect pending inquiry,” the order issued reads.
The three teachers have been identified as Hilal Ahmed Dar, son Abdul Rahid of Chachmulla village, Nazir Ahmed Shah, son of Mohiuddin Shah of Gandwani village, and Amir Farooq Wani of same Gandwani village.
Notably, a girl in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district has alleged that she was raped by three Government teachers in an orchard after which the villagers complained about the same prompting action from the authorities.
