POONCH, July 8: Youth National Conference (YNC) today expressed serious concern over slow pace of work on road projects and urged upon the J&K UT Administration to focus on improvement of dilapidated road condition in hilly areas specially Rajouri and Poonch.
In a press statement here today, former MLA Poonch, Ajaz Jan said that road connectivity is backbone of any area and good road network always open horizons of development.
“Completion of ongoing road projects should be a focus but due to Coronavirus pandemic, the work on these projects remained suspended and now works are resuming in present unlock period.” Jan said.
He, however, added that work on projects in Rajouri and Poonch is yet to pace up as per requirement due to which completion of projects is delayed.
” Government should ensure that road worked are expedited and gets completed within shortest possible time,” Jan added.
He further said that Jammu and Kashmir Government should focus on improving conditions of all existing roads, especially in hilly regions of Pir Panjal and Chenab region.
“Road accidents are cause of concern in these areas and Government should improve the road conditions to avert the accidents,” Jan maintained.
