MENDHAR, July 14: A youth was injured when his bike skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Sabra area of Mendhar near the Line of Control today.
A police spokesman said that 22-year-old, Istikhar Latief, son of Mohd Latief, resident of Gohlad in Mendhar, sustained serious injuries this morning when his bike skidded off the road and fell into the gorge. It got trapped in the barbed wire fencing. The youth sustained serious injuries with the barbed wire on stomach, back besides other parts of the body.
Army jawans immediately rescued him and shifted to nearby Army Unit hospital and provided first-aid. He was later removed to SDH Mendhar. The police has taken cognizance.
