DODA, July 17: On the direction of DDC Doda, a team of officials conducted market checking in various areas of Tehsil Chilly Pingal.
The team was led by Nodal Officer for COVID-19 pandemic management Tasleem Javaid and was assisted by Naib Tehsildar Jakyas Mohammad Hussain Khan and Supervisor of COVID-19 pandemic management Ratan Singh. Police cops under the supervision of SDPO Nawaz Khanday also assisted the team.
Apart from market checking, the team also checked the vehicles entering Bhatyas and others areas in Tehsil Chilly Pingal.
The main focus of the checking was to check the violation of SOPs issued in wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
A fine of Rs 5000 was imposed on erring shopkeepers, drivers and passengers for venturing out without masks at public places.
All the shopkeepers and the drivers were warned of strict legal action if they were found violating the SOPs issues in wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
The team advised the people to maintain social distancing, wear face masks and also follow other mandatory directions issued by District Administration Doda with regard to Coronavirus pandemic.
