SRINAGAR : A low intensity quake measuring 3.2 magnitude on the Richter Scale shook the Kashmir valley this morning, forcing people to rush out of their homes in panic despite bone chilling weather outside.
This was the second quake during the past three days as on December 26, an earthquake of 6.5 magnitude had rocked Kashmir valley, claiming the live of a person who suffered massive heart attack in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal.
A Meteorological department spokesman said that tremors which were felt at 0537 hrs this morning lasted for few seconds. He said its epicenter was somewhere in Pakistan-Afghanistan border. There was no report of any loss of life or damage to property. (UNI)
