SRINAGAR, Sept 20: Terming the large scale joining of faces across Jammu and Kashmir as an indication of upcoming political changes in the Union Territory, AAP senior leader Hakeem Rahulla Gazi today said that only AAP is the 1st choice of people in the UT and people will prove it in next polls.
He said that a large number of more prominent faces are set to join AAP which will further give strength to party cadre. Gazi said that leadership of BJP is stepping in AAP in Kashmir Valley which shows that masses in valley are not happy with policies of BJP which has ruined the UT on every front. He was speaking during a joining function organized in AAP office.
Several leaders of Bhartiya Janta Party including its district president of Kissan Morcha in Budgam Showkat Ahmed Mir joined AAP. They were welcomed in the Party fold by Hakeem Rahulla Gazi. Others who joined include Sarpanch Jawallapora Budgam Abdul Ahad Thakur, BJP constituency president of Khansahib Budham Mudassir Ahmed Shah, Budgam BJP media incharge Tufail Ayoub and PhD scholar and Auqaf Committee president of Bemina Shameem Ahmed Rather.
The new entrants said that AAP is the only political front which is upfront to fulfill the grievances of masses of J&K and is becoming the lone voice in opposition and the day is not far when party will be in office in J&K to resolve the decades old grievances and injustice with masses. They said to have joined AAP to be a part of this reform in political sphere of J&K.
