AAP set to storm back to power, say exit polls

NEW DELHI: Exit polls by various television channels on Saturday predicted a return to power by the ruling Aam Aadmi party in Delhi for its second term in the National capital.

Exit polls conducted by different news channels predicted a massive victory for the Arvind Kejriwal-led party in the elections to the 70-member Delhi Assembly for which the election was held on Saturday.

According to an exit poll by IPSOS-Times Now, AAP is expected to win 44 seats while the BJP could garner 26 seats. The grand old party might not be able to open their account second consecutive time.

On the other hand, an exit poll by Pollstrat-NewsX forecast 50 to 56 seats for AAP and 10 to 14 seats for the saffron party. The exit poll predicted a zero seat for the Congress.  (AGENCIES)
