Abducted girl recovered, naib sarpanch among 4 arrested

JAMMU, Jan 28: RS Pura police rescued an abducted minor girl and arrested four persons including a naib sarpanch from Janipur area of the winter capital.
As per police sources, a 16-year-old girl hailing from Kotli Shah Dullaha was abducted in a vehicle by four persons including a naib sarpanch and a woman few days back near her residence.
The parents of the girl reported the matter to police and a case under FIR Number 12/16 under Section 363 and 109 RPC was registered at RS Pura police station and manhunt was launched to trace out the kidnapped minor girl and arrest the abductors.
On specific information, a team from RS Pura police station conducted raid in Janipur area and rescued the kidnapped minor girl. The four abductors tried to escape from the spot, but cops also chased and nabbed them. The vehicle, which was used to kidnap the minor girl was also recovered and seized by the police.
The accused have been identified as Payara Lal, son of Parkash Chand, Jagdish Raj (Naib Sarpanch, Tanda), son of Girdhari Lal, Shabir Ahmed, son of Muneer Ahmed, all residents of Tanda, Tehsil RS Pura and Raj Kumari, wife of Kala Ram of Chak Harni, tehsil Bishnah.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SI Ashwani Kumar rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the abductors under the supervision of SHO RS Pura Inspector Bhushan Manhas, SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
