ABGP delegation meets CAPD Director

JAMMU, Apr 13: A delegation of office bearers of Akhil Bhartiya Grahak Panchayat (ABGP), Jammu Province, comprising Kapil Dev Sharma, Mohinder Dev Sharma, Chaman Lal, Narinder K Choudhary, Parshotam Abrol and Behari Lal called on Director CAPD Jammu and put forth demands in the form of a memorandum.
The delegation apprised the Director of the problems being faced by the people including non-supply of ration quota to the dealers for the month of March and April and non-display of notice board by most of the Depot holders showing scale of ration to be issued to the ration card holders according to the family strength, stock position of ration available at Depots, price of each ration commodity and timing of opening and closing of depots.
The other issues raised by the deputation include non-maintaining of quality and weighment of ration commodities. The deputation also pointed out that there is much need of revising ration quota in favour of ration card holders keeping in view of expansion in the families during last 10 years.
Director CAPD assured the delegation that he will discuss all these issues with the concerned officers of the department and do his best to solve the issues that fall under the competency of the Directorate while the matters related to the State as well as Central Governments will be taken up with concerned Governments.
