JAMMU, Sept 3: Abhijeet and Ritik of Jammu and Kashmir’ excelled in the ongoing North Zone Junior Athletics Championship by securing three medals, being organised at Karan Stadium, Karnal in Haryana.
The championship will conclude on September 4.
On the first day of the Championship, Ritik won Silver medal in 5000 metres with clocking 14.58min and Bronze medal in 1500 metres clocking 4.02 min, while also Abhijeet Singh bagged Gold medal in 100 metres with clock timing of 10.72 second.
More medals are expected on the second day as many athletes from J&K will be taking part in a number of events.
Suneel Mahajan president and Sharat Chander Singh general secretary J&K Athletics Association congratulated Ritik and Abhijeet for winning medals.
