JAMMU, Oct 10: J&K’s Abhishek Singh and Abhijeet Singh of Wushu stormed into finals in the ongoing 36th National Games in Gujarat, today.
Abhishek Singh Jamwal (56kg) defeated Maharashtra in the semifinals and cruised into finals. He will play against Punjab in the finals, while Abhijeet Singh defeated services in the semi-finals and cruised into finals and he will play against Uttar Pradesh in the finals in 70kg category.
Ishant Singh, Owais, Pratham and Pankaj Raina lost in semi-finals and confirmed bronze medals in the National Games.
It is pertinent to mention here that Wushu has so far secured six medals in the National Games, while two players will play tomorrow for the yellow medals.
