Abhishek bags NASI-Springer Best Paper Award

JAMMU, Dec 31: Abhishek Dutta, a Ph D research scholar at the Department of Botany, University of Jammu, has bagged the NASI-Springer Best Paper Award at the 89th Annual Session of the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI).
The award was presented to him by Prof Manju Sharma, distinguished Woman Scientist and former Secretary, DBT, Govt of India, New Delhi, in the presence of Prof G Padmanabhan, President NASI and former Director, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru and Dr Ch Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM during the valedictory session of the “Symposium on Science and Technology Based Entrepreneurship Develop-ment” for the paper titled as “Allopathy to Traditional medicine: A shift towards plant based healthcare practices for curing some human and livestock ailments”.
The scientific event was recently organised at ICAR-NAARM Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad by NASI, in collaboration with ICAR-NAARM. The award carries a certificate and a gift voucher for the value of two hundred fifty Euros as a felicitation to purchase Springer e-books.
Mr Abhishek is pursuing Ph.D from Department of Botany, JU, under the joint supervision of Prof Yash Pal Sharma of JU and Dr Bikarma Singh, Scientist, CSIR-IIIM, Jammu.
