JAMMU, Aug 16: Bahu Fort police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past over five years.
As per police sources, a police team from Bahu Fort police station conducted a raid in Preet Nagar area of Gandhi Nagar and arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since 2009.
The absconder has been identified as Malkit Singh, Son of Rajinder Singh, a resident of Preet Nagar, Gandhi Nagar.
The accused was wanted in a case registered with Bahu Fort police station under FIR number 266/2009 under Section 341, 323/34 RPC.
Police team headed by SHO Police Station Bahu Fort Inspector Chanchal Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq and SP South Rahul Malik.
