RAMBAN, Dec 29: Police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past 7 years.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Banihal police station conducted raid and arrested an absconder, who was at large since 2009.
The accused has been identified as Jaswant Singh S/o Nanak Singh Caste, a resident of Vijaypur, district Reasi.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR number 19/1996 under Section 279/304-A RPC Act with police station Banihal and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Banihal police station Inspector Nazir Ahmed Dar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
