JAMMU, Oct 3: Ramban Police today arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the last six months.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Ramban Police Station conducted a raid at Sumber, Gool and arrested the absconder Mohd Sharif, son of Jawahar Sohil of Sumber, who was involved in kidnapping of a lady namely Mansha Begum, wife of Jaleel Ahmed of Qazigund.
The lady was recovered after two months from Haryana and a case under FIR number 67/12 under Sections 376, 366, 109, 506 RPC was registered at Police Station Ramban against three accused, spokesman said, adding, that the out of three, two persons namely Gulzar Ahmed, son of Mohd Hussain and Mohd Ismail, son of Noor Jan, both residents of Sumber, were arrested.
The third accused Mohd Sharif was produced before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ramban, today.
