Absconder held after 17 yrs

KISHTWAR, Oct 22: The long-standing manhunt of police here today reached successful conclusion with the arrest of an absconder after 17 years.
Sharing details in this regard, SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal said that a team of Kishtwar Police developed information about the accused evading arrest for the last 17 years and he was wanted in a case of FIR number 258/2006 of Police Station Kishtwar.
On this information, a dedicated team led by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, SHO Kishtwar, accompanied by PSI Imran Khan under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Dr. Ishan Gupta, pursued leads tirelessly and conducted a raid at a suspected location and arrested the absconder from Jammu district and he was identified as Altaf Hussain, son of Feroz Din, resident of Garmal, Doda.
