JAMMU, Apr 20: Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh (ABSMS) today demanded enhancement in wages of daily wagers and implementation of 7th Pay Commission for State Government employees.
The issues were discussed in a meeting of ABSMS held today under the leadership of its president, Dev Anand Gill.
It was decided in the meeting that daily wager labourers work under very harsh conditions to maintain cleanliness of the city. The meeting stressed that all the casual workers or daily wagers should get at-least Rs 400 per day to meet their daily needs.
The ABSMS also demanded implementation of 7th Pay Commission for all State Government employees.
Speaking on the occasion, Gill said people of deprived society pin lot of hopes on leadership of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. ABSMS demanded the Chief Minister to take the grievances of poor and marginal section of society on priority.
Others present on the occasion were Shanker, Aman, Yah Pal, Jaggi, Bittu, Anil, Neel Kumar, Tersem, Usha Sevi, Harjeet, Salim Sanju, Raju and Ramesh Kumar.
