Absolute Cricket Club enters finals

JAMMU, Dec 11: Prevailing over formidable Diamond Cricket Club by 3 wickets in the semifinal, Absolute Cricket Club sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing 2nd Diwali Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Youth Welfare Association Cricket Club Simbal at Government Boys High School Simbal Camp, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Diamond Cricket Club Simbal scored 159 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 9 wickets in the process. Verjinder Singh top scored with 53 runs, while Raja and Jaganjot contributed 38 and 26 runs to the total respectively. For Absolute Club, Satish Kumar took 3 wickets, while Kuldeep Kumar bagged 2 wickets. Showkat and Prithvi also claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Absolute Cricket Club chased the target in 19.3 overs by losing 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets. Harsh top scored with 57 runs, while Satish Kumar, Sandeep Singh and Rinku contributed 25, 19 and 15 runs to the total respectively. For Diamond  Cricket Club, Pawandeep and Gurdev took 2 wickets each, while Maninder and Parveen shared one wicket each. Harsh of Absolute Cricket Club was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant knock of 57 runs.
The match was officiated by Kulbir Singh and Harcharan Singh as umpires, while Talvinder Singh acted as the scorer.
