ACC Blues registers big win in Parvaiz Memorial Cricket

SRINAGAR, Aug 10: Amateur Cricket Club (ACC) Blues registered a huge win by 106 runs over Whites Cricket Club (WCC) Reds and advanced into the next round of the ongoing Parvaiz Memorial Invitational Cricket Cup, being organized by the Kashmir wing of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at Kashmir University ground, here.

Batting first, ACC scored 183 runs in 35.4 overs. Ashraf top scored with 48 runs, while Adil Showket contributed valuable 38 runs to the total. For WCC Reds, Sahil, Rajeev Pandita, Adil Bandey and Kifayat claimed 2 wickets apiece.

In reply, WCC Reds bundled out for a paltry total of 77 runs in 24.4 overs, thus lost the match by a huge margin of 106 runs. Chander was the top scorer with well made 25 runs, while no other batsman crossed the double figure mark. Adil Showket and Ishtiyaq scalped 3 wickets each for ACC Blues, while Nazir took 2 wickets.

The match was officiated by Nazir Ahmed and Ashiq Aziz as umpires, while Javid Ahmed maintained the scorebook.
