JAMMU, Aug 20: AC Club (ACC), RC Club (RCC) and Surinder Cricket Club (SCC) today won their respective matches in the ongoing KP Cup Cricket Tournament being organized by White Cricket Club (WCC) at KC Sports Club Ground, Jammu.
The first match of the day was played between BC Club (BCC) and ACC. Batting first, BCC scored 153 runs in stipulated 20 overs by losing 5 wickets. Sunny scored 67 runs, Abhishek made 45 runs while Ashwani scored 12 runs. For ACC, Rahul and Ronak took 2 wickets each while Nanam scalped 1 wicket.
In 2nd inning, ACC players also played brilliantly and but could not win the match, as they scored 153 runs in 20 overs and leveled the match. Later, the match was won by 2 runs by ACC in super over. Naman was declared as man of the match
The second match which was played between RCC and GC Club (GCC) was won by RCC. Batting first, GCC scored 122 runs in stipulated 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. Surinder made 54 runs while Sumit Dhar made 27 runs. For RCC, Rahul took 3 wickets while Puneet scalped 2 wickets and Vicky one wicket.
In reply, RCC easily chased the target in 15.3 overs by losing 6 wickets. Puneet scored 30 runs while Meena and Chandu made 24 and 19 runs, respectively. For GCC, Sumit Dhar took 4 wickets while Surinder scalped 1 wicket. Rahul and Vicky shared man of the match award.
The third match was played between SCC and MC Club (MCC). Batting first, MCC scored 65 runs in 15.1 overs by losing all wickets. Vishal Tickoo scored 29 runs while Vinod Bhat made 11 runs. For SCC, Tayyab scalped 3 wickets while Deepak and Suman took 2 and 1 wickets, respectively.
In reply, SCC easily chased the target in 7.1 overs by losing 6 wickets and thus won the match by 4 wickets. Kamal scored 24 runs while Suman made 21 runs. For MCC, Vinod and Sunil Handoo took 2 wickets each.
