JAMMU, Jan 5: An accident victim succumbed to his injuries here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), late last night.
According to a police spokesperson, the man, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, was shifted to GMCH on January 1 with injuries on his forehead by a person who alleged that the victim was found unconscious at Jewel Chowk. However, the victim succumbed to his injuries late last night.
A case in this connection has been registered at police station Nowabad and inquest proceedings started under 174 CrPc, as the police alleged that the investigation done by them on the same day in the area revealed that neither any accident had happened nor any man was found unconscious in Jewel Chowk area on January 1.
