JAMMU, Nov 25: In a security lapse, an accused involved in the murder case today gave a slip from the custody of Gandhi Nagar police station. However, police has ordered suspension of a constable and SPO.
As per police sources, three persons attacked Dileep Kumar, son of Mohan Lal, a resident of district Kishwar with sharp edged weapons on October 19.
The victim was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
In this case, Gandhi Nagar police arrested one of the accused namely Nirbeer Singh, son of Ranjeet Singh of Belicharana.
Finding loop hole in the security cover today at Gandhi Nagar police station, the accused managed to escape from the custody.
Meanwhile, a constable and SPO have been suspended and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused again.
