JAMMU, Mar 25: ACM Public School Janipur, Jammu celebrated its annual day with pomp and show in its school premises, here today.
Director School Education, Jammu, Tushar Kanti Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion, while Chief Education Officer, Jammu, Tarsem Lal was the guest of honour.
Chairman of the School, Manohar Lal Babbar and vice chairman, Nirmal Babbar were also present on the occasion.
The programme started with Saraswati Vandana by young toddlers, seeking blessing from Goddesses in sweet and heart touching tone. This was followed by lighting of traditional lamp signaling spread of light through education and knowledge; disappearance of darkness and ignorance.
Neena Dutta, Principal of ACM Public School informed about facilities being provided to the students with regard to quality education. She also gave detail report of the activities to maintain the diverse culture, customs and heritage of India, besides upholding unity in diversity with complete harmony.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest T R Sharma applauded the achievements and the contribution of the school in the field of education and other activities.
He said, education is potent tool for grooming children so that they become responsible citizens of the nation, while the guest of honour, Tarseem Lal stressed for inculcating the moral values among the students.
The function also witnessed the distribution of certificates among the students who excelled in co-curricular and academic activities.
A colourful cultural programme presented by the students was the main highlight of the function. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Shweta Dutta.
Among others present on the occasion included S Ravinder Singh, besides Director of the School, Ashish Babbar and Senior Congress leader, Suresh Abrol.
